As of February 1, 2024, Mille et Une Noix is celebrating its 10th anniversary! To mark the occasion, we invite you to discover the story of passion and dedication that brought the company to life. A story where every step has been marked by a love of quality and authentic taste!
The Beginnings
In 2014, Sandra Nadeau founded her company, under the name Les Jardins de la Palmeraie. At that time, she was hand-preparing gourmet stuffed dates in her family's basement in St-Pierre-Baptiste, her hometown.

A few months later, she found her true niche with the artisanal production of nut butters, and the company took off!
In 2015, with "Love Money" from her aunt Françoise, she acquired her first nut grinder and launched our famous creamy peanut butter, which was a great success at events and trade shows where it was offered for tasting. Little by little, it found its way into various points of sale across the province.

Pitting and stuffing dates, scooping peanut butter with an ice cream spoon, labeling jars, delivering... at that time, she did everything herself with the help of her children and her mother!

Quickly, she purchased some equipment that allowed her to semi-automate certain production steps, and she obtained Ecocert organic certification.
In 2016, the family decided to move to Sherbrooke, and that's when she made the decision to rent her first premises, which housed both a production area and a store.

Then, Lufa Farms became a major partner, and new nut butters gradually joined the range: almond, hazelnut, cashew, etc.
Over time, the number and importance of sales points grew thanks to distribution by Apex, Coop Alentours, and the NousRire purchasing group.
Among them, le Silo de Sherbrooke was the first retailer to experiment with bulk nut butters in returnable buckets, a business model that still exists today and has been replicated by many bulk and zero-waste retailers across the province.
A Change of Identity
In 2019, Les Jardins de la Palmeraie became Mille et Une Noix, a new name that reflects all the possibilities offered by nuts, "nuts in all their splendor."
Since then, the company has continued to grow and expand its product range, always using simple and natural ingredients.

Efforts are rewarded
The year 2022 was marked by great successes for Mille et Une Noix.
In February, the company won awards at the Gala des Grands Prix DUX, a competition that aims to showcase products and initiatives that inspire Canadians to eat better. Our gourmet mixes received the highest score from the consumer jury for best taste, 93%, and were chosen as consumer favorites.

Then, in May, Sandra presented Mille et Une Noix on the show Dans l’oeil du dragon. Although her appearance before the dragons did not result in an agreement, this experience and visibility gave the company wings.

A few months later, we moved from our production workshop to our very first factory!

The year 2022 was also marked by the opening of our Café-Boutique in Sherbrooke!
Despite strong interest in it, the decision was made, just over a year after its opening, to close its doors in order to fully concentrate on our main activity: the preparation of our delicious nut butters.

Finally, we would like to thank you for supporting us, whether since our beginnings or more recently. Your love for our nut butters is our main source of inspiration!
